I'm alive, ALIVE. I was blown by hurricane Ike (can I get a cigarette here please?) but I'm still here. Just like roaches and Cher, I'll be here at the end of time.
I have spoken to the Infidel herself. I can verify that she is, in fact, alive.
But she won't be on the Internets for awhile.
She doesn't have any power and won't have power for days, but her family has food and love. And they are learning lots of fun and and exciting things to do with candle wax.
I asked and she has confirmed that they have plenty of toilet paper.
I had to come and see if you were OK. I wasn't expecting a reply because of power/internet problems you must be having but you somehow got a message through and now I can sleep tonight!
OK, I might have slept tonight not knowing but I'm SURE that Infidel nightmares would have been going on in my head. I'll quit praying for you now...just kidding!
You gotta love the wacky stuff Jean Knee comes up with. She is the best! (after me of course:)hee hee!

Good to hear that you made it through ok. We survived as well over here. Lots of damage in our neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods but we were truly blessed to only have a small leak in the roof.

Glad to hear that you've survived just like roaches and Cher... just don't hide in my cupboard and scurry around my kitchen at night. It freaks me out whenever Cher does that... not so much with the roaches though. I've gotten used to them.
I'm very glad to hear you survived the hurricane OK! I'm amazed at how far inland Ike was still wreaking havoc! I have a friend in Cincinnati, for goodness' sake, who reported damage and power cuts!

holy moly, elastic. i'm gone for a while {started homeschooling this week!} and you almost get blown away by a hurricane? i'm glad you're safe.
