The Greatest Gift Of All Time

Chutzpah-Channukah's Da Bomb! The finest in Jewish rap available on the Internet.

My Papi gave me the gift of XM Satellite Radio last year and it's the greatest thing ever! I'm in the car an extraordinate amount of time every day and the monotony of standard FM broadcast was driving me freakin crazy. Now I have 170 stations at the touch of a button. As God as my witness I shall never go back to Top 40 crap again! XM started broadcasting the first Hannukah radio station ever last week and I can't get enough of it. They also have a Christmas station dedicated to playing music designed for your "dysfunctional family get togethers." Finally, me and my kinfolk have our own holiday soundtrack. This week I've heard a song called "Tourette's Christmas" complete with random bleeps, "Grandpa Got Run Over By A John Deere", and "Wrap It" set to the tune of Devo's classic, "Whip It" song. My favorite seasonal song of all time though comes from the worlds only Jewish rap supergroup, Chutzpah. They the shiz, boi! The chorus of "Hanukkah's Da Bomb" makes me wanna scream out, "True Dat, my Kosher homies. True Dat!" They also perform "Challah (holla) If You're Hot!" These guys are obviously somewhere on Weird Al's Family Tree. They're hogging the spotlight and the limelight during the Festival Of Lights. So to any and all followers of Judaism, Happy Hanukkah and Shalom! May your menorah shine brightly and a bounty of lotsa motzahs upon your table.

Thankfully I put down my cup of coffee just in time when I saw "True Dat, my Kosher homies. True Dat!"

And here's a traditional Malaysian greeting of wishing one Merry Christmas:

Merry Christmas!

Gotta love the Hannukah music. Barenaked Ladies have a few songs on their "Barenaked for the Holidays" CD and we love singing along to them and feeling multi-cultural.

We are living parallel lives. My hubby gave me satellite radio for Christmas last year too.But I have Sirius because I can't live without channel 22 firstwave, that plays all the totally awesome songs from the 80's for sure. Not the crappy top 40 stuff. I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas

I have Sirius...I don't think there is a Hannukah station, dammit! My father-in-law would love the John Deere song. He's a JD freak. (I bought him a JD air fresher for his golf cart as a joke and he immediately ran outside to hang it.)

Happy Muy Feliz Navidad Mujer con cintura de banda elástica!

You are so right, XM is the best thing ever, right next to my DVR, my PDA, my DVD recorder, my Vaio...I luv them all equally.

Hello my blog peeps!!!! I survived Christmas! Sadly, everytime I sit down to blog something I have to go put more batteries in a Christmas toy, or the last of the pumpkin pie beckons me forth. Today and tomorrow are my 'work all day until my hands are black and my truck seat stinky with butt sweat' days, but I shall return soon. I meant to wish everyone a Merry Christmas before real life took over.....so MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Charlotte came home from school one day really dissapointed that we weren't Jewish. She told me how much more fun Hannukah was because they get to open presents for tonz of days, they also dance alot (who knew this), and light lots of candles. It's hilarious. Anytime we see blue and white lights only as Christmas lights she also gets excited from the far back of the mini van and tells me that family is Jewish because they think blue and white lights are festive. I'm so grateful for the things the school teaches her that I must have forgot about. She would love this song!!!

I really want to get XM Radio, too. Been debating it for a while now and I wish I would have bought it when it was cheaper.

For crying out loud, woman! Where are you?

Obviously enjoying the spoils of all the tips you made.

I'm telling you, she probably didn't thin out that eggnog, and now she's laid up in bed and can't move. It's bad stuff if you don't add skim milk to it.

I'm just feeling a little tired and uninspired is all. Most people get the holiday week off work to lounge around but such is not the case for the glamorous life of a professional newspaper carrier. The past few days have really sucked all of my energy reserves dry.

Happy New Year!

Hope you get to feeling lots better and energized soon.
You know, Superman uses the sun for for energy, NCS uses shopping, I wonder what EWBL needs.
