Peeps time, already? Yeah, I guess it is!

I'm just hoping that's not a picture of your pantry. =P

oh my! I just sent peeps to my daughter "Baggage". She loves them.

Easter! Can it be true...except that I am counting days until spring break.

Our shepherd is from rescue and her shadow might be the only thing she is not afraid of! Every sound, wind, thunder, hubby moving, etc. scares her.

I read Kimberly's comment and thought it said "panty." I got all thrown by that, so I don't even remember what I was going to say about peeps.

Spring, Easter, white shoes, PEEPS. YES!

Great WW.

Love the green ones.

Peeps are my FAVORITE uh, well, "food" isn't the right word. Puffy ball of sugar and food colorings.

I guess they're some kind of easter treat? we don't get them here in oz, as far as I've seen

Carrot Jello said...

*gag* Hopefully the peeps are at the store, where they should remain until they get thrown away.

1000 years from now some archeologist is going to be excavating a site and uncover Peeps unchanged from when they were left there.

That is just too funny for words! Good thing it's Wordless Wednesday!

Weeds, eh? Just call me Mary-Louise Parker.

P.S. I HATE those pathetic excuses for marshmallows...

I love peeps. My granddaughter told her mama to NOT put those things in her basket! LOL

I must have some kind of genetic defect that makes me dislike peeps. I know, I know, I'm a freak.

If only they had it in blood red then I could tell my young cousins they're made from real blood of young children.

They'd buy them by the truckload.

Janet beat me to it.
Peeps and Twinkies = plastic = forever.
(Have you ever heard that song Plastic is Forever by Sam Phillips?)

Gag. Peeps are gross. Cute, but gross.

It is definitely that time of year. My husband loves these things, but they always seem to give me headaches. At least they are pretty to look at :)!!

I confess to being a Peeps "man" myself, but the multi-colored ones turn me off. They make a nice photo, though!

Oh, how I LOVE Peeps!!!

I still have Christmas Peeps in my freezer! They're great frozen and wonderful in hot chocolate!

I hoard them this time of year.

No dear, there's no room for that veggie meatloaf. Have a Peep instead! LOL D :)

Slackermommy said...

They are beautiful to look at but I just can't eat them. I gag at the thought of it!

carrie said...

Peeps don't do a thing for me, but a stock pile of Reeses peanut butter eggs thats something to get excited about.

35 comments! Holy shnikeys!

Cadbury cream eggs here. I love the commercial with the different animals all trying out to be the Easter bunny. "BAWK!"

Great picture - is it that time of year already? Time is just flying

Peeps me no likey!

I think I OD'd on peeps as a child because there is no love in my heart for marshmallows. My brother had some at Christmas that were shaped like gingerbread men, something about that shape made them more tempting but I did not give in, I knew they would still make me vomit.

Amelia Elias said...

LOL! That's a whopping dose of sugar overload right there. My teeth hurt just looking at that!

My WW's up!

Super Happy Girl said...

Oh man! I wish I loved to eat them Peeps, but alas Elastic, I don't
:( They are so cute and colorful, they look like they would be a good eat.
I'm just glad "eating peeps" was not part of the Naturalization test, or I would have failed yo!

I am so getting curious what Peeps are?? How do they taste? We don't have it either here in Germany.

Unknown said...

Ever heard of kuner flavored peeps?

Millie said...

Oooooh... they should make buttsteak flavored peeps. Now there's a delightful taste sensation.

Alice (in BC Canada) said...

Wow, what a colorful pile of pure sugar! haha. What an interesting photo.

Super Happy Girl said...

I heard they don't make shnikey flavored peeps. I wonder why.

I'd like to state for the record that I'm guilty of once eating a Peep back in college.......but I didn't inhale. All the other kids were doing it and I succumbed to the intense Peeps pressure. I beg you for forgiveness. I only like marshmallows when they're gooey and warm like in a cup of cocoa or S'mores. Processed marshmallow is rubbery and blah. Yes, I'm a marshmallow snob. There's nothing in the world gaggier than Hostess Snoballs. Pink dyed coconut over marshmallow rubber? Where's my inflight barf bag? Peeps are like really shallow people. Pretty on the outside and nice to look at, but completely disgusting and horrible on the inside. I once thought about making a Peeps wreath for Easter by buying the multi-colored packages and affixing them to the wreath and then shellacking the heck out of the Peeps to keep them from losing their shape. Meh. Seemed like too much work. I opted for a ten dollar wreath from Kroger's instead.

NCS,Millie, and Annie- I'm working on a Peep flavor that is an entire meal in one. I've got the tomato soup, salad, roast beef with mashed potatoes down, but the blueberry pie part is tricky, and I keep ballooning up like a blueberry everytime I eat one. See, I'm not really fat, I'm just a walking Peeps experiment gone horribly and tragically wrong.

carronin- I live for Reeses Peanut Butter eggs. And Reeses peanut butter trees. And Reeses peanut butter cups. And Reeses peanut butter hearts........Yeah, Peeps just don't do it for me.

Rhonda Sloan said...

The real peeps! I hate that they make "peeps" for all the holidays now. I don't like red and green Christmas peeps...boo.

dalene said...

You got 48 comments on a picture of Peeps!

I humbly bow to the queen.

elasticwaistbandlady said...

CW- Ummm, no. Now I have 50 comments on a stinkin picture of Peeps candy! I'm surprised about it too. Who knew that the love/hate Peeps controversy would spill over here at my blog? The Easter candy battle rages on.

rhonda- Yeah, gaggy candy should only make an appearance once a year.
