Lisa, Lisa And Hello Kitty Jam Beats The Snot Out Of Lisa, Lisa And Cult Jam!

So, did you get the memo yet? Yeah, the memo sent out from the powers that be. Will you please stop saying "Whatchoo talkin bout, lastic?" and pooching your lips. That really disturbs me.

Just understand that the memo lays out the stipulations mandating that all mommies over the age of 30 must select at least one favorite Lisa Loeb song and play it endlessly until even the dog can howl along in tune. The mandate includes the over-hyped, over-played..... matchbox 20, Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, and Celine Dion too, but I found an exemption clause and jumped on it immediately. I like Lisa Loeb. I won't lie and say I'm a raving Lisa lunatic in need of a frontal LOEBotomy, but she's a decent entertainer.

So, 'Underdog' wins as the chosen Infidel Favorite Lisa Loeb Song. I adore the creepy Hello Kitty theme in this video and the fakey plastic perkiness all around. And the seemingly possessed Hello Kitty strumming the guitar in the background holds a cute 'je ne sais quoi' appeal to it. Us Infidels have oft quoted this song, repeating in a forceful manner, "Don't be thy enemy, and DON'T stand in back of me." You can't complain when you've been warned......

I'm sorry, but I can't stand her music!

TONI!!!- You're cracking me up with that emphatic statement! Don't you know? It is written, and you must obey. Just pick at least one Lisa Loeb song to love and cherish and hold next to your heart and call your own. Especially because we're Texan, and she's a Texan. Honestly, 'Underdog' is the ONLY Lisa Loeb song I truly like. Mostly, because I sing it as a warning to my kids when I'm about to let loose a big stinker. "DON'T STAND IN BACK OF ME!!!"

Kimberly- I've talked to a few bloggy buddies today and got good mail from another. It made my heart leap for joy! I felt so blah over the weekend, I almost decided to give up blogging permanently. But then I remembered how much I'd miss everyone. H-Town 2008! I'll see if Dumass Taco will cater the event.

DO NOT GIVE UP BLOGGING!!
What else does lisa lisa sing? I don't think I've ever even heard of her....but maybe I'd better learn this song for the same reason you know it...(wink-wink)
Do you ever listen to xm radios Broadminded? My favorite matchbox 20 song is unwell(it's autobiographical), and 3 am.

Poor Elastic. We really did miss you. I dedicate my latest post to you.

The "Hello Kitty" gimmick is just a little too cutesy for me. I never liked her that much anyway, particularly since the Bunny has such a crush on her. I guess I should be glad he lusts after geeky girls like me.

You know, I could probably do without any Lisa Loeb songs at all. In fact, I know I would. I thought she was fine the first 1 million times I heard her stuff. N

Ok, I will play, even though I am not a big fan either...I pick "I do." Don't ask me why...I have no reason.

Oh, and I did watch her reality show a few times. It was mildly entertaining to watch her try to find a boyfriend...and to see her obsession with Hello Kitty in action. She has HK stuff everywhere.

P.S. You can't quit blogging. Who would I talk about BJ Services with? Plus, I live in Houston so I could come find you and make you blog!

You DO NOT talk about giving up blogging. You DO NOT think about giving up blogging. NO NO NO!!!
This is MY Month Elastic! You said you were going to be good to Mexicans...no more "giving up blogging" talk, ever, ok?

Phew, anyway, Lisa looks so cute in her whatever-she's-wearing-thing.

It's bad enough no one visits my blog anymore but to lose one of my most loyal and funny as heck commentators is akin to leaving me with a lifetime supply of Celine Dion music.

It's not funny! It's horrific!

Anyway, Lisa Loeb's vocals always leaves me in a lugubrious state of mind. Jack Johnson, on the other hand, makes me want to slaughter bunnies and other cute things.

Awww, y'all blog peeps are so sweet. Yes, I had fleeting thoughts of giving up blogging over the weekend, but in hindsight, I think it was exhaustion, loneliness, and the after effects of a bad taco salad negatively influencing me.

It's nice to know that everyone has a united anti-Lisa Loeb front working. For me, even those on my most despised bands list like Nickelback, usually have at least one song that I like. That's how I am with Lisa Loeb. I reeeeaaalllllyy like Underdog.

B.! I am so in love with my XM Satellite Radio! I've only listened to broadminded once or twice though. It was during their mobster or mafia guy weekly feature. Back in the day when matchbox 20 first came out, I really liked them. That was before constant, incessant, maddening FM play rotation ruined it for me. Although, I can't stand to listen to them, I don't mind looking. Rob Thomas............mmmmmmmm.

The Broads have a weekly music school where they pick a MB20 or Rob Thomas, or Scott Stapp from Creed song and try to sing it just like he does....it's hysterical!
"Well, Ah just hud da nooooz ta-day....."
